Aikido Techniques: Kihon Waza Demonstration from Ushiro Tekubitori Attack

Kihon waza are fundamental or basic Aikido techniques.
This video footage is taken from the Yondan (fourth degree black belt) examamination of Dan Kudo Sensei of Orange County Aikido School (Aiki Kai) located in Southern California. The goal of this demonstration is to execute a continuous series of Aikido techniques from the ushiro tekubitori or rear wrist grab attack.
The Aikido techniques applied include jujinage, kotegaeshi, irimi nage, sokumen irimi nage, and kokyu nage.
Dan Kudo Sensei is a healthcare professional and holds the rank of Yondan (fourth degree black belt in the martial art of Aikido. He currently trains and instructs Aikido Techniques at Orange County Aiki Kai in Santa Ana, California. His passions include sports - particularly the martial art of Aikido in which he has trained and taught for almost forty years. An outdoor enthusiast, Dan loves to spend time skiing, camping, flyfishing, and surfing. He listens to and plays music, and enjoys photography and videography.
